Variety reports that Rolling Stone is introducing its own music charts starting on May 13. The “Rolling Stone Charts” will list the top 200 albums and top 100 singles in the United States with attention to streaming data and more transparency around rankings.

“PMC’s strategy is to constantly evolve our brands and products across media platforms,” Penske Media Corp CEO Jay Penske said in a press statement. “What’s imperative and exciting about our new Rolling Stone Charts is that it will present a transparent, granular and real-time quantification to accurately reflect listeners’ evolving interests and give insight into worldwide trends.”

The singles chart will be updated on a daily basis. Data for the charts will be provided by Alpha Data, an analytics firm that tracks daily sales, streaming and airplay of songs, artists and albums. Rolling Stone is also launching the Rolling Stone Artist 500, Rolling Stone Trending 25, and Rolling Stone Breakthrough 25.
