Schepers Bosman
1 / 11

Brand: Schepers Bosman

Season: FW19

Key Pieces: The entire collection is packed with regal silhouettes, but the oversized silk shirts are a standout, both in shape and design.

Editor’s Notes: Dutch brand Schepers Bosman took inspiration from architect Pierre Cuypers for its FW19 lookbook. The Royal Waiting Room at the Central Station of Amsterdam was therefore a fitting location to shoot the collection. Not only because of its architect, but also for its appropriately decorous interiors.

Schepers Bosman's latest offering is a magnificent tribute to the Dutch architect with seams and finishings made visible and treated as decoration, as inspired by Cuypers churches. The designers also took inspiration from Cuypers's museum, mining its decoration archive for templates that would eventually be used as a source for handmade patchworks and vinyl prints for the collection.

The Royal waiting room befits the tone of this regal collection, composed of voluminous overcoats, silk finished trousers, oversized shirts, detailed sweaters, overalls and hand-stitched scarves. The collection draws from a swathe of quality fabrics and materials including silk, crepe wool, mohair, Japanese nylon, corduroy, and heavy tricots.
