Yesterday, May 16, Artcurial hosted the first-ever auction solely dedicated to New York street culture, more specifically centering around Supreme. Dubbed "C.R.E.A.M., Cash Rules Everything Around Me," the event tallied $1 million USD in sales, with 94 percent of the lots being sold.

"True to its reputation as a pioneer, Artcurial pushes the boundaries and manages to seduce new generations of collectors. This sale-event, which focuses on one of the most important contemporary cultural revolutions, embraces all artistic forms and redefines the collection," says Fabien Naudan, the man behind the auction and Vice Chairman of Artcurial. "The prices obtained for both Supreme branded objects but also the works of artists from the same generation who accompanied this unprecedented global movement confirm the international interest in urban culture."

Roughly half of the 135 featured items went for above their estimate, as numerous customers were engaged in multiple bidding wars. The highest sale of the auction was for a 2017 Supreme x Louis Vuitton trunk that sold for $104,312 USD. Next, KAWS' 4 Foot Companion from 2007 went for $95,108 USD, while a Supreme skateboard trunk rounded out the biggest sellers, priced at $73,632 USD.

Additional items that flew off of the auction block included various collaborative Supreme tees, Supreme x Everlast boxing accessories, and multiple Supreme skateboards, among other goods.

In related news, Supreme just released its latest skate video, shot in Paris.
