Last week, the U.S. Marshals announced they are trying to recoup cash pillaged by Billy McFarland during 2017's disastrous Fyre Festival by putting a load of unsold merchandise up for auction. People are bidding — and they're spending a lot.

U.S. Marshal Ralph Sozio of the Southern District of New York said, “This Fyre Festival-branded clothing and other items that were seized from McFarland were originally intended to be sold at the Fyre Festival itself but were kept by McFarland, with the intent to sell the items and use the funds to commit further criminal acts while he was on pre-trial release.”

He added, “The proceeds from the sale of these items, all traceable to McFarland’s $26 million fraud, will go toward the victims of his crimes.”

There are currently 126 Fyre Festival products up for sale via the Gaston & Sheehan auction site, including clothing, tokens, and wristbands. There's even a pair of T-shirts from Ja Rule and Ashanti's Fyre-sponsored tour in 2016.

Bidding is open until August 13 but if you want to get your hands on some Fyre merch you need to prepare yourself for shelling out hundreds. Logo-branded hoodies, long sleeves, and caps are already nearing and exceeding the $400+ range, and with ten days still to go, there's no telling how much the end value will be.
